3-3-3 Method

The 3-3-3 Method is a great grounding method for when you are feeling stressed out or anxious.

Sight

If you feel that you are starting to get anxious, pause. Look around you and focus on the physical objects that surround you. Now, name three things that you can see. Make sure to pay attention to the details.

Sound

After you have named three objects that you can see, start listening to the sounds around you. Name the three sounds that you can hear, and identify where they might have come from.

Touch

Now, chose three of your body parts to move. For example, shrug your shoulders, wiggle your toes, or tap your fingers.
